Claire Zinnecker & Limbo Jewelry Partner For Inspired Summer Collection
June 28, 2017
Introducing: The Zin Collection - a modern geometric line that draws inspiration from Claire’s minimalist branding and personal style. This small collection is made up of 2 necklaces, 4 earring styles, and 2 rings custom made to order. Each and every piece will be handcrafted in Limbo’s East Austin studio using 14kt Gold Fill, 14kt Gold, Sterling Silver and Diamonds. All items will be available for purchase in mid-late July.
The name “Zin” seemed fitting - deriving from “Zinnecker” and Edson’s Mother's maiden name - “Zinser”.
Local brands Limbo Jewelry and Claire Zinnecker Design have a lot in common - Austin flagships, design driven, architecturally inspired, and detail obsessed. Not only that - each brand is making a name for themselves beyond Austin with highly coveted features by respected brands such as: Architectural Digest, Design Milk, HGTV, Domino Magazine, and Wall Street Journal - just to name a few.
Claire Marie Zinnecker founded Claire Zinnecker Design in 2013 to enable the combination of her passions for residential and commercial interiors with her love for designing and making furniture, lighting and accessories. As a skilled maker herself, Zinnecker led the curation for the DIY section of Camille Styles’ ‘Transformed’ blog for several years. In every interior project she always adds something custom along with handcrafted, modern pieces - due to her appreciation for genuine and original craftsmanship.
Limbo Jewelry was built by the husband and wife team of Edson Enriquez and Anne Rutt-Enriquez. Designer, Edson has always been inspired by architecture - his education in industrial design sparked his interest in metal-smithing. Since arriving at the Austin art scene in 2003, Limbo has grown from an unassuming pop-up shop on South Congress to one of the most recognised storefronts in the bustling SoCo district - with their second shop opening at Austin’s Domain Northside in the Fall of 2017. The brand’s online presence has also gained them International appeal.
In early May 2017 Limbo Jewelry approached Claire to present a design collaboration opportunity. The meeting of minds could not have scripted more perfectly. In fact - design conversations were so fluid and complimentary that Edson’s arms filled with goosebumps. “Edson’s creative energy is so positive and his talent is admirable” says Claire. “He has the ability to bring unique thoughts and concepts to life - leaving us with incredible handcrafted wearable pieces”.
The Designers have a true appreciation for each other's craft and a mutual respect for what they’ve each managed to build to this point. “I’m mind blown” Edson stated during one of many studio sessions. “Her approach to design has such a bright and refreshing feel to it.”
